1: Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort – Site Rules and Regulations

We hope your stay will be pleasant and enjoyable. We ask you to take some time to read and adhere to the following RESORT RULES. They are, after all, designed for your own safety and enjoyment but also for other guests and owners and residents who share these wonderful facilities.

Roads, Paths and Parking – The roads are public and patrolled from time to time by the Guardia Civil; the speed limit is 40 kph. There are adequate parking bays around the resort and close to your building, not only on street level but in the underground garage below each building. DO NOT park on the curbs, pathways, or in another owner’s garage space. Please be aware that the Guardia Civil can fine you on the spot, even on this resort.

There are good pathways around the resort. The golf course is private property and you are strictly not allowed on it under any circumstances unless you have paid a green fee and are playing under normal circumstances. Do not walk on the buggy path inside the golf course perimeter (outside of the white posts), walk across the golf course, or play in the sandy bunkers. Golf balls are hard and can cause serious injury.

Swimming Pools and Gardens – The pools and gardens are for the use of owners, their guest’s and renters. Members of the general public are strictly forbidden to use these facilities. Every swimming pool has a safety board displayed. Please read this as there is not a lifeguard in attendance.

Adults should accompany, and will be responsible for, their children’s safety so please do not let them enter the pool unsupervised. The pools are open from 9am to 9pm. Please always close the gate on entering or leaving. Be careful when jumping and diving into the pools as the pools have varying depths.

DO NOT take any glass bottles or glasses into the pool area. Babies and toddlers must wear swimming nappies in the pools. There are security cameras operating at all times. Excrement found in the pools causes 2/3 day closure of the pool, not to mention the upset to other guests and residents. Anyone found to be doing this will be asked to leave the resort.

Pets and animals – We have a fantastic variety of wildlife on the resort from birds, bats, fish etc. We do have some snakes, so look out for a large twig or stick when approaching, it will probably wriggle away as frightened as you are.

Your pets are welcomed on the resort; however, Spanish law dictates that all dogs are micro-chipped and registered. If yours is not, you will need to take it to a vet to carry out this process, otherwise your dog could be impounded by Murcia Town Hall. Constantly barking dogs are a nuisance so please do not leave the dog unattended for long periods of time. DOGS MUST be kept on a lead at all times, whether it is in the buildings, garages, gardens, roadways or paths. Their mess must be bagged up and placed into bins around the resort.

We have a feral CAT population on the Resort. They are wild and not domesticated so should not be fed under any circumstances however cute they might look. We have designated feeding stations and volunteers feed them at these stations every day. They help keep the resorts rabbits, mice and rat population down. They can also be aggressive creatures at times and can cause nuisance to owners, residents and guests alike if we try to treat them like pets.

General – DO NOT hang clothes or towels over balcony railings, over garden hedges or garden trees.
DO NOT leave rubbish lying around, there are many bins around the resort. Voices and music travel long distances, particularly in the evenings, so please keep noise levels down within buildings and your apartment. Moving, scraping chairs, closing doors and high heels causes noise throughout the building so please be considerate to other occupiers at all times.

Security – The resort is patrolled regularly, day and night, by our own security staff. However, it is your responsibility to look after your own belongings. Security can call in the Guardia Civil for parking offences, unruly behaviour, bad driving, high noise levels etc. You are all most welcome and we want you to enjoy your holiday. To ensure everybody’s experience is a good one we hope to have your co-operation during your stay.
